Please note that she presides over two separate courtrooms, one for civil, traffic, and landlord/ tenant issues and the other for criminal charges. Criminal charges are heard in the Upper Darby Police Department building. So while your summons may read that you’ll appear before the Delaware County Magisterial District Court 32-1-35 and Judge Berardocco, it’s important to note which building, so you go to the right place!

What is Magisterial District Court 32-1-35?

District courts handle traffic cases and all other violations of Title 75, The Vehicle Code, including reckless driving, driving without a license, speeding more than 30 miles per hour over the speed limit, and failure to stop at stop signs/red lights, etc.

Civil cases include Landlord-tenant cases seeking possession of property and judgments up to a maximum of $12,000 and small-claims court, which deals with minor lawsuits seeking judgment up to $12,000 in value.
